Armidale & District Family Day Care (AFDC), a small not for profit Company established in 1983, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, Diploma qualified Early Childhood professional to undertake the role of Coordinator of our Family Day Care Service.

The successful applicant will work with the Nominated Supervisor in providing professional support to AFDC Educators, ensuring quality outcomes are delivered to children and families enrolled in AFDC and monitoring compliance with the National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Framework.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent;
  • Experience within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector;
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Education and Care Services Regulation, National Standards and Learning Frameworks;
  • Current Working With Children Check;
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain);
  • Current Child Protection qualification (CHCPRT001);
  • Current First Aid qualification (HLTAIDO12);
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to inclusion and ethical practice;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.

Employment Conditions

  • 30 Hour per week position;
  • Wages and conditions in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award, Level 4.

Out of School Hours Care Nominated Supervisor

Armidale & District Family Day Care (AFDC), a small not for profit Company established in 1983, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, Early Childhood professional to undertake the role of Nominated Supervisor of our Out of School Hours Care Service.

The successful applicant will provide educational leadership of the day-to-day operations of the service, planning and providing quality programmes for children in After School Care and Vacation Care and ensuring compliance with the National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Framework.

Selection Criteria

  • Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent;
  • Experience within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector;
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Education and Care Services Regulation, National Standards and Learning Frameworks;

  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain);
