Armidale Family Day Care offers quality early education and care in a nurturing, natural and flexible environment.

The small group environment allows children to build long lasting bonds with their educator, assisting your child to develop the fundamental social, emotional and cognitive skills to set them up for life.

Armidale Family Day Care Educators provide education and care for children aged 0-6yrs, delivering quality educational programmes which cater to each child’s interests, skills and abilities.

Educators also provide vacation care, before and after school care for children aged 5-13 yrs giving families the opportunity for their school aged children to be in care with their siblings.

Armidale Family Day Care provides education and care for children aged 0-6yrs. Educators provide quality educational programmes catering to each child’s interests, skills and abilities. Family Day Care service’s also provide Vacation care, Before and Afterschool school care for children aged 6-13 years.

Yes, all our Educators are qualified or working towards an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification. Our Educators vary from Bachelor of Education to working towards Certificate 3 in Education and Care. Our Educators are all equally passionate about the early years sector and are committed to providing a high-quality service.
AFDC Educators also participate in comprehensive trainings in the lead up of opening their service, to ensure they are offering a quality service.

All Educators and their care environments are screened prior to care commencing, to ensure the family day care area is complaint and in line with Education and Care National Regulations, National Law and the National Quality Standard.

Our Educators are visited 3 weekly by the coordination unit, to support Educators in the delivery of their service and to maintain a safe, compliant family day care environment. Coordinators also conduct an annual safety audit on the whole premise to ensure the environment is in line with the Education and Care Law and Regulations. Our service policies and procedures are over and above the Regulations to ensure the best quality education and care is provided. The Department of Education monitors family day care through unannounced spot checks and assessment and rating.

FDC is eligible for child care subsidy, each Educator holds a different fee, so fee’s are subject to differ from service to service. The coordination unit support parents and guardians in applying, receiving and maintaining their childcare subsidy.

Our Educators are self-employed, so they set their own operational requirements and core hours. Educators have a minimum booking time starting from only 6 hours, giving parents the freedom to not be locked into paying a 10 hour day and not using the full amount of care being paid for. Family day care also offers overnight and weekend care.
