We were very lucky to have Niki Buchan join us at Armidale Golf Club for a day’s training.

We were joined by Educators from other Early Learning Services in Armidale to enjoy the informative, hands on day. Niki presented “Meaningful documentation-Australian Learning tracks” based on the Reggio Emilia and project approach.

For the second session Niki taught us about “the joy of stuff” a loose parts play lesson, teaching Educators and staff the value of loose parts, and how it encourages children’s imagination, fantasy and engagement.

It was a great day with a hands-on approach with the Educators and staff having a go of playing and inventing with loose parts!
