Welcome to Armidale Family Day Care!
We are a community based, not for profit organisation, established in 1983. Since then we have developed and maintained a long-standing reputation of offering high quality education and care, to local families provided by our qualified local Educators.
Our boutique service is operated by a team of professionals with expertise in Early Childhood, Business and Administration. We provide ongoing support to our Educators, families and children. We monitor the provision of flexible, reliable and affordable childcare to families in Armidale, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha.
Armidale Family Day Care delivers a play based Out of Hours School Care for school aged children, providing after school care and vacation care. Philosophy
At Armidale Family Day Care, we acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work, learn and play. This includes the Anaiwan, Kamilaroi, Dunghutti, Nogoorabul, Ngarabal, Gumbayngirr and Banbai people. We extend this respect to all other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our community. We acknowledge our responsibility to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our pedagogy.
We aim to provide high quality education and care to families and children within our communities, in a nurturing home environment, developing respectful relationships that lead to a strong sense of belonging.
Our staff, educators and families reflect the diversity of Australian society, and we respect one another’s values, beliefs and cultures.
We recognise the importance of learning within the natural environment and acknowledge our responsibility to show children how to contribute to a sustainable future.
We embrace continuous quality improvement through professional development, partnerships and critical reflection to inform and build upon the education and care provided to children and the management practices we enact.

Management
Armidale Family Day Care is a constitutional corporation, managed by a community-based Board of Directors.
The Coordination Unit works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care services within our communities.
Armidale Family Day Care strongly encourages participation from interested parties within the broader community who would like to contribute to the company’s successes.
